My love of Blush and the "Culloden" series

2019 was the year of Blush for me. It was part of my wedding. Consistently used in my artwork. I even bought chairs like this! 💖This painting is part of the “Culloden” Series. I grew up on Culloden Place, a small street in Queens with only 11 houses. I was born in a blush house, and grew up in the mint green house next door.

This painting is named “Poppy” after one of my neighbors who was like family to us. I learned to garden at her house, ate a lot of her delicious Italian food, and was treated to a lot of special attention. It’s nice to be close to your neighbors.
